The tragic discovery came after an extensive search by the Saginaw County Dive Team, called into action after reports of a possible suicidal individual.
Authorities received an urgent call Sunday evening from the Bridgeport Police Department concerning Gabrielle, whose whereabouts had become a cause for grave concern. Responding swiftly, the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office deployed the dive team to scour the waters surrounding Ojibway Island.
After hours of careful searching, divers located Gabrielle’s body submerged on the island’s south side around 12:30 p.m. Monday.
