Atlanta, Georgia —Atlanta is reeling from the tragic loss of Edgar Morales Corona, a bright and beloved 16-year-old who passed away on June 18, 2025. Edgar’s sudden departure has sent waves of grief through the community, leaving friends, family, and classmates struggling to cope with the absence of a young life so full of promise.
Those who knew Edgar speak of a gentle and joyful spirit, someone who carried warmth in their smile and a kindness that left a lasting impression. Whether in the classroom, at church, or among friends, Edgar’s presence was a source of comfort and laughter. It is this light that now feels painfully dimmed.
“Edgar had this way of making you feel seen and valued,” said one close family friend. “Even on your worst day, he could lift your heart without even trying.”
A funeral Mass in honor of Edgar will be held on Friday, June 27th, 2025, at 3:00 PM** at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Loved ones will gather later that evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM for visitation at Fischer Funeral Care, where stories will be shared and memories held tightly.
As Atlanta grieves the loss of this beautiful soul, may the community find strength in one another, and may Edgar Morales Corona’s memory continue to inspire love, compassion, and unity in the hearts he touched.
