Having worked at the Vineland Public Library for nearly three decades, Helen was the cornerstone of the Children’s and Young Adult Services department. Her legacy of service and passion for literacy touched the lives of countless children and teens through innovative programs she created, such as STEM events, family workshops, and a teen makerspace.

Helen’s work was informed by her educational background, which included a Master’s in Public Librarianship from Rowan University and a B.A. in English from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Known affectionately as “Miss Helen,” she was described as not just a librarian but as family, a mentor, and a guiding light for many.

Her husband, Dominic Margiotti, shared a heartfelt tribute, saying, “From the moment we met, she was my world, my light, my angel… and forever will be.” Helen is also survived by her brother, Anthony Ricci, her niece, Laura Ricci-Hughes, and her goddaughter, Mia Rose Ventura.

The Vineland Public Library staff and the entire Cumberland County Library community expressed their grief, recalling Helen’s profound impact on all who knew her. A funeral mass will be announced soon, with donations in Helen’s memory being directed toward youth literacy programs at the library.

Helen’s legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering commitment to young learners will live on through every story shared and every program she initiated.
