OOLTEWAH, TN — A wave of grief has washed over the Ooltewah community following the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Josh Davis, a cherished son, student, teammate, and friend. His passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Josh, a proud student at Ooltewah High School, was known for his kind heart, resilient spirit, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or simply among peers, Josh was a source of warmth and strength — admired for his character, determination, and the way he uplifted others without hesitation.

With the blessing of Josh’s family and the school, a candlelight vigil has been planned to honor his memory and the profound impact he made during his life. The vigil will be held on Monday, July 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Ooltewah High School.

Candles will be provided, but those attending are encouraged to bring a lantern or balloon if they wish to participate in a symbolic release to commemorate Josh’s life.
