Olathe, KS-A tragic accident on Kansas Highway 7 has claimed the life of Leslie Kendig, a 68-year-old resident of Osawatomie, Kansas, leaving a community mourning the sudden loss of a man remembered for his work ethic and kind spirit.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the incident occurred Tuesday morning when Kendig, operating a dump truck, drifted into another lane for reasons that remain under investigation. The vehicle lost control and rolled into a ditch, causing fatal injuries despite Kendig wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene near Olathe and worked to redirect traffic while crews cleared the wreckage. Sadly, their efforts could not change the heartbreaking outcome.
